Renee Zellweger is very pleased with the paparazzi.

On Wednesday, the actress, 40, was in the middle of ordering drinks at a Starbucks in Santa Monica, Calif., when a paparazzo outside noticed her parking meter was about to expire.

To save her from getting a ticket, he slipped a few coins in the meter.

Appreciative, Zellweger - who is now dating Bradley Cooper - returned to the coffee chain, bought a $100 gift card and rewarded the photographer.

On the back of the card, she personally expressed her gratitude: "Wow. Thank you so much for the kindness," she wrote. "Warmly, with gratitude. Renee."

It was the guys' turn to take the stage on Wednesday night's "American Idol," as the show is just one day away from revealing the final 12 contestants who will vie for the crown.

Two more men will be sent packing on Thursday night, but if the "Idol" judges have anything to say about it - Michael Lynche won't be one of them.

"Big Mike" brought the house down - and brought Kara to tears - with his performance of Maxwell's "This Woman's Work" - a performance which Simon dubbed the best of the season so far.

"This is crazy," Randy beamed. "It was dope... I want to call Maxwell!"

"Oh my God! That was so beautiful. You are the one to beat now," Ellen proclaimed.

"It's amazing - you're amazing," Kara said, fighting back tears, as she got a comforting hug from Simon.

"This was so needed tonight," Simon concluded. "You 100 percent nailed it. Not just the best performance of the night - it's the best performance of all these live shows we've had so far."

Max Ryan who plays Kim Cattrall's love interest in the upcoming Sex and the City 2 was in stable condition after a serious motorcycle accident.

The 43-year-old actor was involved in a head-on collision while riding his motorcycle, when a vehicle turned in front of him and left him trapped underneath the other car, according to his rep.

"Max is stabilized. According to attending physicians, he has broken five ribs and cracked his collar bone ... We do not expect any interference on Max's work schedule, he just needs a little time to heal," said Erik Kritzer, Ryan's manager.

Academy Apologizes for Farrah Fawcett Memoriam Omission Posted 1 day, 16 hours ago by Jeff Frieders

The executive director of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts has apologized for not including Farrah Fawcett in the Acadamy Awards' "In Memorium" montage — but says it wasn't an oversight.

"There's nothing you can say to people, particularly to family members, within a day or two of the show, that helps at all," executive director Bruce Davis told People. "They tend to be surprised and hurt, and we understand that and we're sorry for it."

Fawcett, who is best known for her role on TV's Charlie's Angels, also appeared in such films as Man of the House, The Apostle, and Dr. T & the Women. Also excluded from the film tribute was Golden Girl star Bea Arthur, whose films included For Better or Worse and Mame.

On Tuesday, Tatum O'Neal issued a statement that said: "On behalf of myself, my father Ryan O'Neal and my entire family, we are deeply saddened that a truly beautiful and talented actress, Farrah Fawcett, was not included in the memorial montage during the 82nd Academy Awards. We are bereft with this exclusion of such an international icon who inspired so many for so many reasons. Beautiful, talented Farrah will never be forgotten by her family and amazing fans."

Ryan O'Neal was Fawcett's longtime partner.

Davis said he considered including Fawcett, but felt her "remarkable television work" would be better honored at the Emmys ceremony, in which she was recognized. He also defended his inclusion of Michael Jackson, much better known for his musical than film accomplishments, saying Jackson was the subject of last year's This Is It documentary.

Do you agree with Davis' rationale?

The syndicated weekday talk show says Seinfeld is making his first appearance as a guest co-host, alongside Kelly Ripa.

Scheduled guests include Donald Trump.

Lie to Me will return with new episodes on Monday June 7, Fox announced Tuesday.

The Tim Roth-led drama series has been on hiatus since Dec. 14. The show's new episodes will be paired on Monday nights with freshman series The Good Guys.

The Good Guys, formerly titled Code 58, was created by Burn Notice executive producer Matt Nix and stars The West Wing's Bradley Whitford as a washed-up cop past his glory days. Whitford's character is paired with a much more modern (and more strict) younger cop played by Colin Hanks (Mad Men). Fox will preview the action-comedy series before American Idol on May 19 at 8/7c.

As previously announced, So You Think You Can Dance will kick-off its seventh season on May 27 at 8/7c. Hell's Kitchen will also return for its seventh season with a two-hour season premiere on June 10 at 8/7c.

Ratings-challenged drama Past Life will begin airing on Fridays at 8/7c, beginning with a two-hour episode on May 28. The series, which has not been officially canceled, was pulled from its Thursdays-at-9/8c timeslot after only 3 episodes. Repeats of Bones will take over Past Life's Friday time period beginning June 18.

Following its first season finale on June 8, Glee reruns will air on Wednesdays at 8/7c throughout the summer.

Are you excited for the return of Lie to Me and So You Think You Can Dance? Will you tune in for The Good Guys?
